My dad (62) has lipoprotein (a) levels that are over 200mg/dl.


My cholesterol is slightly high, but from my understanding heart disease is a multi-factored problem and cholesterol is only one factor, inflammation and insulin resistance along with endothelial dysfunction play a huge role. So my opinion is, along with cholesterol we need to test some other things to gauge our true risk.
