By HANNA ARHIROVA. Updated 9:50 PM PST, November 16, 2024. KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — When Russian tanks rolled into Ukraine in February 2022, the conventional wisdom was that the capital, Kyiv, would soon fall and the rest of the country wouldn’t last long against a much larger enemy. Instead, it was that narrative that quickly collapsed.
One woman was injured and transferred to a local hospital, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. First responders have been dispatched to the site of the attack.
