Big weapons and technology sales, Russia can’t relate. Its European gas market is soon to be hijacked, forever, by the U.S.

Than you for your comment. While some U.S. aid funds American-made weapons, a significant portion supports Ukraine’s budget, including salaries, pensions, and infrastructure. It’s not just about weapons, and that raises concerns about how taxpayer money is being used.

The money being “given” to Ukraine is in the form of loans. Those loans are then turned around and used to purchase American made weapons and ammunition. Providing jobs for American workers. Simultaneously we are getting loads of valuable real world operational data.

Korey72758, It isn’t Ukraine that is draining the US taxpayers. It’s giving billions to Israel every year since 1948. Israelis have free education and free healthcare while Americans don’t. The US promised to defend Ukraine for giving up their nuclear weapons.

The aid to Ukraine is mostly weapons that are already purchased and in many cases going to expire. Like a M2 ODS being sent will purchase a new machine, not one from Dessert Storm. Cluster munitions which were slated for destruction, donating them is cheaper than destruction.
