It is interesting as he has resumed shipments of weapons to Ukraine and has allowed Ukraine to use them to strike anywhere in Russia. Seems he is looking to work out a trade of mineral rights for military aid.

If Russia takes Ukraine, they will go for Poland next and they are part of NATO, so we would have to send troops there. Giving weapons to Ukraine is a way better way of deterring Russia from further aggression than waiting for Russia to go after a NATO member.

What he knows, and you don’t, is that Ukraine doesn’t have a minerals industry. He’s looking for a reason to provide an agricultural nation money for advanced weapons.
