Ukraine can certainly decide for themselves when they would like to start negotiating. They can just inform us they are no longer interested in taking our weapons. We aren’t shoving them down their gullet. They have agency.

The bulk of Ukraine aid is heavy weapons. Towards the start there were more infantry weapons sent, now they make those domestically. For 50% to have been sold they would have to be selling entire tanks and SAM batteries, it’s an outrageous claim.

Much of the money the U.S. has dedicated for Ukraine aid is spent in the U.S. on domestic weapons manufacturers and U.S. military and government operations.
Direct military support to Ukraine totaled about $70 billion out of the $175 billion Congress has appropriated.
