It is an American problem because in 1994, US among other nations, convinced Ukraine to not develop nuclear weapons to defend themself in exchange for being protected an defended should the need rise

How old are you , look back in 1991 when was URSS , they where 2 conditions for Ukraine not to do , 1: never try to be with nato , 2 : never get nuclear weapons or chemicals weapons, and since 2014 stop war with their citizens in Donbas how are Ukrainian but prefer Russia mindset

There are no American soldiers dying in Ukraine, and it isn’t asking for any – just for some money and weapons to degrade the military of a US geopolitical adversary for a cheap price for the US.

The issue of Ukraine began before the invasion, starting with the Western supported coup in Ukraine in 2014. Money spent in the US to produce weapons for Ukraine isn’t free , it is either borrowed or taxed and represents a loss for the US. NATO did expand westward.
