Europe has provided more funds & weapons to Ukraine than the US did and is committing even more now.
I feel terrible for the Ukrainians who have died but I don’t think surrendering to Russian subjugation is an acceptable option to most Ukrainians.

Ukraine has no nuclear weapons.
It voluntarily gave up all of them after the fall of the Soviet Union in return for a guarantee that Russia, USA and UK would guarantee its security, in the Budapest Memorandum.
