You’re right because Ukraine signed the Lisbon Protocol which gave Russia legal ownership of the nuclear weapons. It was the right thing for Ukraine to do but this sets a very bad precedent if another country is promised security for denuclearization

Trust Erdogan at your own risk. The last time Russia was there for peace talk commercial ship was used to load weapons from there to Ukraine. Negotiate in Hungary or Serbia instead
