A private student accommodation provider in Dundee, Scotland, says it operates the UK’s first halal-only university flats, offering a living environment designed around Islamic dietary rules and community standards. Islamist student organizations now demand the same arrangements across the UK.

ILM Halal Student Halls charges from £165 per week and advertises:

-Halal-only shared kitchens, where pork and alcohol are prohibited

-Alcohol-free communal areas

-A dedicated prayer room

-A cinema room

-A massage chair

-A gym

The accommodation serves students attending the University of Dundee, Abertay University, and the University of St Andrews.
