CEAR and ACCEM, two of the largest organizations managing Spain’s asylum, migrant reception and humanitarian-assistance programs, receive 99% of their funding from taxpayers. That is €378 million out of a total of €382.14 million.
The figures mean that organizations formally classified as NGOs are, in practice, entirely dependent on Spanish and European taxpayers to operate Spain’s migrant and asylum-reception system.
