An 82-year-old French man has died of a heart attack after being attacked by a 20-year-old Algerian migrant who pinned him to a wall and violently ripped a gold chain from his neck at a metro station in Lyon, France.
The victim and his wife were approached by a 21-year-old woman who asked them for directions, as a distraction.
Her 20-year-old accomplice then attacked the elderly man.
The victim resisted, while his wife shouted that her husband had heart problems.
Despite the warning, the attacker tore away the necklace and fled with the woman.
Emergency services treated the 82-year-old, but he suffered cardiac arrest and died shortly afterward.
The suspects were arrested.
